What Do I See?

Etishka inspired Ryah to make a "what do I see" book from a picture book. Michael and Keagan played a matching game with shells. Olivia made, in her words, a fake birthday card for Alyssa. She found the words posted in the room and copied them. BTW, Alyssa loved it!

Funny Tree

When we went in most children had snack but Lucas wanted to check out the "caterpillars" and sticks. We counted 32. children took some and made homes for them, like Ryah, using our basket of recyclables. Noah P made a play area on paper for his "caterpillar" and labelled his picture. Kara attached her "caterpillar to a tape covered, water filled container. Keira drew her representation of the tree that had these buds.

Recess

When it was recess time for the rest of the school we headed over to the park: swings, sand, play structures and so many children yelling, "This is MY park!"

While some children continued to explore the trees, logs, water, sand and a pile of SNOW others started to play soccer on the field.

Monday Morning Walk

Our Monday started with a wonderful walk across the soccer field to the "forest". Those children wearing rubber boots could get to the water. We collected rocks, sticks and neat tree buds that looked like caterpillars. Long sticks became fishing poles and containers in the sand were filled and dumped.
